Ommegang Three Philosophers brewed by Brewery Ommegang (Moortgat) in Cooperstown, New York - Outside of the of the baseball hall of fame, there isn't much to speak of in Cooperstown, New York other than a brewery. However, considering the quality beer Ommegang produces, that's not much of a problem. Three Philsophers, which is a Beligian style Quadruple/Abt, is no exception.  The beers pours a reddish brown in color with a light off-white head. Aromas are of bright and dark cherry, caramel, roasted malts, and dried fruit. Flavors are a combination of tart cherry fruit and lush sweet malts. Nice beer that's perfect for cellaring (In a vertical tasting, two years made a huge difference).
