Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock brewed by Brauerei Aying in Aying, Germany - The highest rated doppelcock on ratebeer.com with an average rating of 4.1 out of 5. It's in the 100th percentile of beers overall. Celebrator pours a dark reddish, brown with a creamy dark biege foam. Complex aromas are of roasted malt, caramel, cherries, and other dried fruits. This is certainly a full flavored doppelbock; in fact it's the biggest non-smoked doppelbock that I've had to date. It has stand out flavors of dark and milk chocolate, coffee, toffee, more roasted Munich malt, brown sugar, raisins, and dates. Celebrator is big and brash enough to be an imperial stout. Not for the meek or light-hearted.
