If you’ve been by the store recently, you may have visited our new beer cellar. We’re really excited about it over here at Cool Springs Wines & Spirits. As you walk in the store, just head directly to your left.
It’s currently located where Frank’s Value Cellar used to be. But don’t worry! Frank’s value wines are still located in that general location. The truth is that Frank’s Value Cellar outgrew that location and needed a little more room to spread its wings. The leftover space was perfect for a beer cellar.
Why a beer cellar? For those of you new to the interesting beer laws in Tennessee, it breaks down like this. To sell any beer above 6.2% alcohol, you must have a liquor license. Thus you can’t find many of the best beers available in grocery or regular beer stores. To get the best IPAs, seasonals, stouts, barley wines, meades, porters, Belgians, bocks, etc…you have to go to a bar or a liquor store like Cool Springs Wines & Spirits.
If you’re a beer lover, you must stop by and see our selection. It keeps getting bigger and brighter every day.
FEATURED BEERS

Dale's Pale Ale by Oskar Blues Brewery - First of all, don't be turned off by the fact that this is a canned beer. Cans protect beer from light and oxidation far better than bottles, and a great beer like Dale's Pale Ale deserves no less. This brew has everything one could want from an American pale ale: sweet caramel aromas and flavors, floral and citrus flavors from the hops, a hint of orange or grapefruit, and a smooth, slightly bitter finish. This beer is a fine example of an ale that strikes a good balance between malt and hop. The fact that the beer is canned makes it perfect for camping or other situations where bottles aren't convenient or even dangerous. A cheap, "light" canned beer would weigh the same, contain far less alcohol, and can't
begin to compare in flavor. This has always been one of our best sellers and a staff favorite. Embrace the can!
Schlafly Irish Style Extra Stout by St. Louis Brewery - The St. Louis Brewery does a great job with complex, balanced beers that don't do anything over-the-top or "experimental." This is one of their better products, and showcases many of the features that one wants from a nice heavy stout: flavors reminiscent of dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and molasses balanced by dry, herbal hop flavors with a smooth, viscous mouthfeel and a long, pleasantly bitter finish. There's also a strong roasted quality that makes one think perhaps of a heavily toasted campfire marshmallow. The net effect is something like a slightly overcooked beer s'more. I think stout drinkers will understand what I mean, and if it sounds intriguing, it might just make you a stout drinker, too.
