Dogfish Head World Wide Stout
Dogfish Head doesn't come to Tennessee anymore but Cool Spings Wines and Spirits still has Dogfish Head World Wide Stout. It has been in hiding for the past frew months but we have decided to bring it out and let these last few bottles go to good homes. This batch was bottled in late 2010 and is still going strong. World Wide Sout is 18% ABV and will age for years if cellered properly. How does Dogfish Head do that? They use six different yeast strains with enormous amounts of dark malt and age it for over 6 months. WWS is a beer that has more in common with a fine Port than normal mass marketed brews. Like fine wines, WWS will evolve over time in the bottle and only become more complex with maturity. With its dark color, huge nose, and even bigger flavor, Dogfish Head has this recipe nailed down. Hopefully they will return in a couple years so you can see what fresh WWS tastes like vs the 2010 we have at Cool Springs Wines and Spirits.
