Cool Springs Wines & Spirits' Featured Beer

Sierra Nevada Hoptimum
It seems like every other week or so Sierra Nevada releases something that is worth writing a beer review on. This week, Cool Springs Wine and Spirits is lucky enough to have been allocated Sierra Nevada's newest Whole Cone Imperial IPA. In other words, Sierra Nevada is dropping the whole part of the hop cone into this IPA instead of pellets or leaves which is usually the norm. By adding the whole cone of hops, Sierra Nevada can achieve a flavor that has the most depth, balance, and freshness that is expected from them by all beer lovers.

Hoptimum Imperial IPA pours a nice clear amber color with a great aroma that lures you into it's delicious flavors. Hoptimum is a full-bodied IPA with that boasts 100 IBU and 10.4% ABV. Sierra Nevada does a great job with the texture of this brew as well. The alcohol is well hidden, the whole cone hops add great depth but is not overly bitter, and the fresh malt seems to blend right in with the hops. This is a special brew from a special brewery. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to be able to enjoy this work of art.
