Samuel Adams Infinium
This week I will be doing something a bit different with the beer review. Instead of tasting a brew and writing a review, I will be promoting something that I have not tasted because it is being released to the public today. This special brew is called Samuel Adams Infinium. Infinium is a collaboration between the world's oldest brewery which is the Weihenstephan Brewery and Samuel Adams and will conform to the German purity law Reinheitsgebot. This brew is being released to Tennessee in small allocations so be quick about getting yours since the idea for this beer is to become "THE new Champagne substitute" to celebrate the New Year. This beer is packaged in a 750ml bottle with a cork and has a dressy label to please the eyes. I have heard that this light golden colored brew is 10%ABV, has been fermented with Champagne yeast and has crisp, dry tasting notes. As you can probably tell, I am very excited about bringing this product to Cool Springs Wines & Spirits and could not wait until I have actually tasted it since it will probably be gone by the time I have a chance to write about it in next weeks review.
