Lion Stout
Lion Stout brewed by Lion Brewery in Nuwara Eliya & Biyagama, Sri Lanka. When you think of great beer countries, Sri Lanka probably isn't the first place to come to mind. The Lion Stout, though, is quite a pleasant surprise. Like most high gravity stouts, it pours almost jet black with a nice foamey long-lasting head. The nose is full of dark fruit aromas, raisins, and roasted malt. The palate is creamy and rich. It's deliciously complex, full of roast, coffee, dark chocolate, and barley. It's a great beer that always seems to have something new each time you try it, and it happens to be one of the most fun and playful beers that we have the pleasure of carrying here at Cool Springs Wine & Spirits.
