Who loves Belgian yeast in a great tasting IPA? I know I do! Stone Brewing has taken their regular IPA and has replaced the normal yeast strain with a Belgian strain that brings out new and totally different flavors. I love when Stone gets creative and comes up with some crazy ideas for good beer. This is one of those brews that is a big hit. The Belgian yeast meshes so well with big amounts of hops and a good malt presence that brings out great complexity and wild fruit flavors that IPAs typically do not have.

This brew has the aromas of bubblegum, citrus, hops, and spice. The head looks an Ivory color and lasts for quite a while. The mouthfeel is good and this medium bodied Belgian IPA is nicely balanced to make the experience enjoyable. The package looks great as usual which makes for a good bottle to save. If you like IPAs or Belgian style brews this nice combo would be a great Christmas gift to yourself or to anyone that you think is worthy.
