Mollydooker Velvet Glove Shiraz 2016The Velvet Glove is an Australian Shiraz with strength, depth and finesse. The 2016 has a perfumed nose of berries and mixed spice. The first sip gives way to juicy blackberry and cassis, followed closely by decadent dark chocolate and black pepper notes. Dunn Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is an unusually soft wine from Dunn. Aromatically expressive and nuanced, the 2014 offers plenty of immediacy, with attractive red cherry, plum, sweet tobacco, dried flowers and cedar nuances. In 2014, the Napa Valley Cabernet is a blend of equal parts estate fruit and purchased grapes from a site in Coombsville. In many years, the Napa Valley bottling has been a miniature of the Howell Mountain, but in 2014 it is more typical of a true appellation-level Cabernet meant for near to medium-term drinking.
Oskar Blues Steep Coast DIPAAt the first sip, Steep Coast Strata DIPA (8% ABV) blasts off into a dank citrus stratosphere, through a far-out peach and stonefruit sky, then drifts via a passionfruit parachute back down to earth on sweet breezes. Strata, a sought-after varietal from Oregon State University's lauded hop breeding program, is characterized by pronounced green cannabis notes.

M. Chapoutier Domaine de Bila-Haut Cotes du Roussillon Villages V.I.TThe colour is garnet-red, very steady, deep and brilliant with purple lights. Open, expressive and complex with aromas of very ripe black fruits (elderberry, blackberry), some spicy scents (pepper, Garrigue). Great attack, tight but silky tannins. One notices a dominance of spicy scents, a lot of richness, a good length and a very ethereal final. Pair with catalan-style saddle of lamb.
