Medium to full body, balanced tannins. Ripe blackberry, blueberry with a hint of bacon. A hint of spice on the finish is complemented by smoky vanilla oak. Perfect with red meats, poultry, red sauce pastas, pizza and sharp cheeses.
A little raw and sharp in the mouth, but clean and dry enough, with cherry, berry and pepper flavors that finish with some jammy sweetness.
Astringently herbal, heading toward medicinal, with sage and currant flavors and dusty, drying tannins.
